Painting often induces a flow state. A space where time dissolves and leads to presence. In this state our stress hormones drop and feel-good chemicals like dopamine and seratonin rise. Thats why even a short time spent painting can leave you feeling calmer, more focused and more confident.
Turning away from my laptop to grasp my pad, brushes, and paint, I simply draw whatever springs to mind. This gives my "Executive Brain" a chance to relax, and I become engrossed in the emerging, developing, and unfolding creation. It is not something I plan, it is more intuitive allowing a sense of focus, flow and mindfulness. I do not consciously decide, "I'd like to paint a tree." I allow the brush to determine what happens.
When life feels to fast, painting slows me down to the tempo of presence, appreciation and it sooths when the world feel unpredictable and disorganised.

"Sharp Shower"
"Sharp Shower" paints a vivid picture of nature's raw power and beauty. A vast expanse of ocean, its surface rippled by the approaching storm. The sky above is a striking mustard hue, foretelling the impending deluge. Suddenly, a diagonal shaft of rain cuts through the air like a silver curtain, descending toward the turbulent grey waves below.
The contrast between the warm tones of t

Capturing a moment of quiet beauty in nature, inviting you to imagine standing by the sea inlet and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, during a picturesque time of day.
The sea inlet, nestled between rugged cliffs or sand dunes, creates a sense that the air is filled with the salty tang of the ocean, and there's a sense of tranquility as seabirds glide overhead.
It's the kind of place wh
